In short
Deeck works on your iPhone. Your devices' readings, encryption keys and history stay on your phone (and in your own iCloud, if you enable backup). We do not run analytics or advertising trackers.
What stays on the device
Bluetooth encryption keys (in the iOS Keychain), device list, readings history, preferences, alarm rules. Backups are stored in your iCloud account, protected by Apple.
Remote features (Pro)
If you connect a Victron VRM account, Deeck talks directly to Victron's VRM servers with the token you provide; we never see your VRM data. If you use Deeck Bridge, the bridge on your Raspberry Pi sends alert notifications to your phone through our relay, which forwards them to Apple's push service. The relay keeps the minimum needed to deliver the notification: your device's push token and the bridge's activation token.
Solar forecast
The forecast uses your system's position (which you can set manually, take from VRM or from the phone once) to request weather data from Open-Meteo.com. Only the coordinates are sent, nothing else.
Account
An account is optional and only needed for Pro and founder codes. Sign in with Apple is used; we store your Apple user identifier, an optional email and your entitlement. Subscriptions are processed by Apple.
